The adventure of EHC started early 2022 with a bunch of real-life friends hanging around RC Helicopters in a small town of western Switzerland. One of us sowed the DCS (Digital Combat Simulator) seed in the group, and soon it grew to become a regular practice, next to the RC activity. As the online group developed in size through friends and acquaintances, a small set of pilots showed a steady interest for aerobatics and close formation flying.
By end 2023 we decided it was time to formalize some weekly training time to practice aerobatics in DCS. The moment had arrived to set ourselves a goal, and it was to form a display team to present our (then future) work during virtual airshows. Quite a challenge, but someone said we do not do things because they are easy, but because they are hard.
In May 2024, we presented our first 30 minutes public display which went pretty well, with six pilots out of the eight enlisted. Shortly after our team’s recruitment phase concluded with the boarding of a ninth pilot.
So yes, we are new team unknown to most, but we passionate people and interested to build synergies beyond our own communities. Don’t hesitate to use Contact Form for peering with us if you share our set of values:
« Sharing experiences – Admiration for other’s work – Seriousness, but without excess – Always have fun – Humility – Passionate – Team spirit and a creative mindset ».
Our F/A-18C Hornet display is currently based on a seven-ship configuration. But innovation is a never-ending process and soon we will be bringing something new to our program, hopefully yet unseen by the virtual airshow’s communities.
If any of this rises one of your eyebrows keep an eye on these pages and our other social media outlets, we will definitely appreciate your feedback!
